AMC Alum Alec Musser’s Cause of Death Revealed

The AMC alumni was just half-century old.

This weekend the news of the fact that All My Children alum and I Wanna Be A Soap Star Season 2 winner, Alec Musser, died at the age of 50 shook the daytime. The actor’s cause of death has been disclosed.

TMZ said that Musser was killed by suicide. His fiancée, Paige Press, discovered the body of his deceased at their house located in Del Mar, California last Saturday. She went to bed Friday night and when she awoke early on Saturday, she saw his body and dialed 911.

In a report by Page Six Press reported the death of Musser via social media. She wrote on an Instagram post “RIP to my dearest friend. I will forever be in love with you. I am broken inside.” the singer wrote. “Today is the most difficult moment of my existence. We were so glad … Your fiance was the most wonderful fiancé I could have ever wanted.”

The year 2005 was the time that Musser took home the first season of SOAPnet’s reality television series, I Wanna Be a Soap Star. The winner was signed on to AMC in the role of Del Henry, taking over the role of Winsor Harmon (Thorne, Bold and the Beautiful). Musser appeared in The ABC soap between 2005 until 2007.

Other credits for his acting include Desperate Housewives the Phantom Executioner, Grown Ups, Rita Rocks as well as Road to the Alter. Alongside performing, Musser was a fitness model. He was featured in magazines such as Men’s Health, Men’s Workout as well as Exercise Health.

Adam Sandler, who starred in Grownups has taken to Twitter to show homage to Musser who played Water Park Stud in the film of the same name in 2010. “I loved this character. I can’t believe he’s gone.” Sandler wrote on X the site that was previously called Twitter. “Such an amazing, funny great guy. I am thinking about Alec Musser and his family and sending my heartfelt love. A true love of a human being.
