Are there any new performers or actors been cast in the show as contract, recurring as well as day-player, roles? Are any well-known or adored actors from other soaps, either in the past or now, preparing being added to the GH family in surprising new roles? Here’s the most recent casting news for The ABC soap.

The week of January 15th, 2024.

Primetime’s Special, General Hospital: 60 Years of Stars and Storytelling brought some shocking information: Steve Burton’s explosive returning to General Hospital in the role of Jason Morgan. The character of Burton had been “killed off” in 2021 but his body was not found. After his departure from GH, Burton returned to Days of our Lives as Harris Michaels, a role which he started playing in 1988. He first appeared in The Peacock exclusive program Beyond Salem 2 Beyond Salem 2. Burton has finished filming on DAYS. The date of his first appearance on GH is still to be announced.

The Bobbie’s (Jacklyn Zeman) funeral brought the return of the memory of a GH Co-star who was in the show’s past. Brighton Hertford, who once played the role of Bobbie’s adopted daughter BJ Jones, was a part of Angela Brighton for two episodes. The character was an AP reporter from Amsterdam who was writing an article on Bobbie but was later revealed to be to be a gorgeous BJ.

Ellie Darcey-Alden portrayed Cornelia. Felicia (Kristina Wagner) and Carly (Laura Wright) followed the young woman down in Canada when they learned that Bobbie assisted her in escaping human trafficking.

At the exit, Ryan Carnes wrapped up his short visit in the role of Lucas Jones. The character left the city following Bobbie’s funeral.
