Nancy Lee Grahn: Daytime Unites To ALS

An official Instagram post by ALS One Official as well as Grahn states: “We are extremely excited and incredibly thankful to announce that Daytime Unites to end ALS, which is hosted by Nancy Lee Grahn, of ABC’s General Hospital, in full support of ALS ONE. The incredible daytime show with stars will take place on the Saturday 4 May 2024 at the state of California on The Embassy Suites Los Angeles Glendale which will begin at noon.

“In the year 2020, I began organizing Zoom events to help to stay in touch with people during the outbreak,” Grahn explains. “At the event, I got to meet the person I’ve been with for a while, Michelle. Michelle had been diagnosed ALS in the year 2018 and has been fighting it day in and day out with positivity, grace and determination. I’ve learned many things about her from our very first encounter. One of them is that ALS isn’t an incurable condition. It’s underfunded. In the past few years, I’ve committed to making ALS my primary cause to fight for an answer to my dear friend Michelle and others who suffer from ALS.

Participants can experience an unforgettable evening and daytime experience with the most well-known faces of daytime television. The event will include a Q&A session, meeting and greets auction, as well as music. The money raised will be donated to the ALS One’s unison research and treatment.

The long-time soapies’ fans remember Daytime Emmy-winner Michael Zaslow (ex-Roger, Guiding Light) was diagnosed with ALS in the mid-1990s. After his departure from GL, ABC and One Life to Live invited the actor back to play David Renaldi again. He died in 1998.
